Everything you need to know about Australia’s biggest homegrown shopping event, known as Click Frenzy – including when it’s on and where to score the top deals.
Having launched in 2012 as Australia’s answer to the international mega Black Friday shopping event, Click Frenzy has since grown into a force to be reckoned with. And what that means for us shoppers is that the deals are getting bigger and better by the year – with huge discounts on offer across everything from beauty and tech to activewear and home appliances.
Now made up of six sale events each year, Click Frenzy is definitely a sale period to keep your eyes on – but if you’re a little confused about how it all works, don’t stress. We’ve got you covered, with everything you need to know about it, including when it is and what deals to look out for.
Don’t forget to check back in closer to the event when we can give you all the info on the best sales that will be on offer – including fave brands like Adore Beauty, The Iconic, Lovehoney and Adidas.
When is Click Frenzy?
Click Frenzy has grown a lot from its humble beginnings – and now, it hosts six individual sale events throughout the year to offer retail therapy for cheap on the regular.
The biggest Click Frenzy, known as “The Main Event”, occurs annually in November. This year, The Main Event will be on November 10, 2020, beginning at 7pm and running for a huge 53 hours.
What is Click Frenzy?
In the same vein as shopping events like Boxing Day and Black Friday, Click Frenzy sees retailers provide huge deals on a wide range of products, including beauty, health, fashion and activewear, home, technology and more.
The main difference to those other sales is that originally, Click Frenzy focused on Australian retailers and domestic deals to balance out the international deals of events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That said, some international brands have started to offer Click Frenzy deals too in recent years, so there’s an even greater range of products available. Additionally, Click Frenzy is an entirely online sale event (which we see as a bonus, ’cause there’s nothing better than shopping in your PJs on your couch).
For retailers themselves, Click Frenzy is a way to clear out older inventory. For shoppers, what that means is huge deals that you want to get in on quickly before they sell out. You’ll want to double check the T’s and C’s on each site to see exactly how long the offers last, but your best bet is to grab deals as soon as you see them to avoid disappointment!
Best Click Frenzy deals to look out for
Sales are offered directly though the Click Frenzy website, but also separately by retailers on their own websites. Due to the high demand for particularly outrageous deals, the Click Frenzy is infamous for regularly crashing on the day – so our hot tip would be to shop via the individual retailers for the best chance of scoring discounts.
Click Frenzy discounts usually offer between 20 to 99 per cent off – yep, seriously. Those 99 per cent deals are only offered via the Click Frenzy website and are highly competitive, but you’ll still find offers of as much as 90 per cent off on individual retailer sites too if you don’t want to brave the crazy deals.
What stores do Click Frenzy sales?
Where does Click Frenzy come from?
While Click Frenzy was inspired by Black Friday – an American tradition that takes place annually the day after the Thanksgiving holiday in November – it’s actually a homegrown Australian event.
It was created as a domestic alternative to the big, successful international sales like Black Friday but has grown to feature the best of both worlds with Australian and international retailers getting involved to offer hot discounts.
