A silk pillowcase to help her wake up feeling fresh

Silk pillowcases are all the rage right now, and for good reason. Not only do they look and feel luxurious as hell, they also have anti-ageing, anti-sleep creasing, and anti-bed head benefits, so mum can wake up every morning looking and feeling like the queen she is. We love Slip’s pillowcases which are available in seven colours and use highest-grade mulberry silk and non-toxic dyes.

Where to get it: Sephora for $95.

A soothing sea and epsom salt body scrub

Going out for a relaxing massage is off the table for now, but mum can get a similar experience at home with the right products. The REN Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Salt Anti-Fatigue Exfoliating Body Scrub is loaded with a blend of fresh sea and magnesium (epsom) salts that work hard to gently polish away dead skin cells whilst activating micro-circulation and relieving tension.

Where to get it: Mecca for $60 or REN for £18 (approx AUD$35, plus shipping).

A luxurious hamper to pamper her with

Hampers take all the hard work out of gifting, whilst still looking super thoughtful. This year, Moët and Chandon have curated a selection of pampering gift packs that have self-care written all over them. The Moët Rosé Magic Limited Edition Hamper features a bottle of Rosé Imperial, limited edition calico tote bag, rosé goblet, soy wax candle and gourmet treats from Morgan’s; whilst the Jurlique Rosewater & Moët Rosé Hamper includes a bottle of Rosé Imperial, silk eye mask, satin robe, Jurlique face mist, bath soak and so much more.

Where to get it: Moët Rosé Magic Limited Edition Hamper, $189, and Jurlique Rosewater & Moët Rosé Hamper, $289, both at the Hamper Emporium.

An online one-on-one skincare consult

With all our favourite salons temporarily closed, some have turned to online services to keep our #isoskin under control. Bondi’s iconic The Clinic have recently launched one-on-one video consultations with their registered nurses, which make for a perfect gift for mums who want personalised skincare that will work for them. Best of all? The normally $50 service is now TOTALLY FREE as a special offer. Throw in one of their Mother’s Day Self Care packs while you’re at it, if you want to spoil mum.

Where to get it: The Clinic Video Consultation, free (usually $50), and Mother’s Day Self Care Skin Pack, $85.50, both at The Clinic.

An ultra-luxurious cult favourite body cream

Ok, this one definitely doesn’t come cheap – but hey, mum deserves to be spoiled on Mother’s Day of all days! This cult favourite body cream from Sisley is an anti-aging miracle that targets sagging skin, and a loss of firmness or tone. It’ll make mum feel like her youthful self in just four weeks, and you’ll be guaranteed the favourite child spot in the family.

Where to get it: Sisleya L’Integral Anti-Age Concentrated Firming Body Cream, $360.20 at All Beauty (RRP $430).

A fancy crystal eye mask to improve her sleep

Crystals are having a moment right now, as are crystal beauty tools like jade rollers. But here’s one you may not have heard of: a crystal eye mask. It targets puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles by using the healing power of crystals to encourage self-love and tranquility – and it’ll certainly make for a unique gift.

Where to get it: CAW Life, for $149.

Hair tools that will put her on Cloud Nine

Self-care includes haircare too! Mum can still get her glam on from the comfort of her own home thanks to these appliance sets from Cloud Nine. The Mother’s Day Original Iron Gift Pack includes a free GWP Gift of Gold Bag valued at $100 for a limited time; or if salon-style blowouts are more her thing, The O Pod features revolutionary rollers that heat up in four seconds to produce a salon-quality blowout in 15 minutes.

Where to get it: Mother’s Day Original Iron Gift Pack, $340 at Cloud Nine; and The O Pod, $375 at Adore Beauty.

A heated blanket to cosy up on the couch with

With six heat settings, a safety auto-off, and silky soft Sherpa fleece, this Feel Perfect Sherpa Fleece Heated Throw is a super cosy gift you’ll probably want to steal for yourself. It’s machine-washable, and perfect for my favourite kind of self-care: cosying up on the couch with a cup of tea and a good book!

Where to get it: Bing Lee, for $79.

A face-lifting crystal to calm her skin and her soul

The Hayou’u Beauty Restorer Lite Face Massage Tool is so good that Net-a-Porter Global Beauty Director Newby Hands included it in her exclusive Beauty Hall of Fame edit. According to Newby, “the Traditional Chinese medicine ritual: Gua Sha, helps to stimulate the dermis to produce elastin and collagen while relaxing the facial muscles. By using the Beauty Restorer Lite, after applying oil to face and neck, gently hold the tool flat across the eyes or anywhere with tense muscles for several seconds, using the end of the tool for light press strokes across forehead, under eye area, cheeks and jawlines, followed by downward press strokes from neck to shoulder to stimulate lymphatic flow, resulting in healthier and radiant complexion”. Basically, it’s a face lift in one simple tool – and mum will love it.

Where to get it: Net-a-Porter, for $59.88.

A monogrammed robe she can kick back in

Made from 100 percent linen, this long robe by Jasmine and Will will make mum feel like she’s relaxing at a luxury hotel rather than being cooped up at home. Plus, you can have the front, cuff, or back monogrammed to make it extra special.

Where to get it: Jasmine And Will, for $159.
