How Hailey Bieber went from pencil-thin to fluffy, bold brows

Here are the simple secrets behind supermodel Hailey Bieber’s iconic thick, fluffy and bold eyebrows.

Gone are the days where people were obsessed with pencil-thin brows. Now, it’s all about thick, full and natural.

While Emily Collins and Cara Delevingne are the first names to pop to mind when you think of fluffy and bold brows, it’s really Hailey Bieber’s you should be paying close attention to.

You’re not wrong to think the supermodel didn’t always have such a strong brow-game. She told Elle back in August that she, too, succumbed to the stick-thin eyebrows that became a trend during the 2000s.

“When I was a teenager, I plucked by eyebrows really badly,” Bieber told the publication. “I went through that phase where I thought a thin eyebrow was the way to go.”

Learning from her mistake, she “let them grow thick and not really have a shape”.

“Once they came back in, I started slowly getting them shaped,” she added.

Now sporting thick, feathery brows, the 23-year old swears by a few (extremely) simple tricks to keep them healthy.

For starters, she’s got a thing for castor oil.

“I do think castor oil does help them to grow,” she explained to Elle. “When I was trying to get them to grow back in, I put castor oil on them every night.”

She’s also found a way to use nothing but brow gel for brows that look effortlessly bold and filled-in.

“It’s the one thing I do every single day,” she said in an interview with Mind Body Green. “Even if I’m not wearing makeup, it’s the one thing I wear.”

Her go-to product is bareMinerals’ Strength & length Serum-Infused Brow Gel in clear. “It’s like a deep-conditioning mask for your brows,” Bieber added.

This is then followed by a sweep of the same product but in “coffee” shade.

The clear gel helps thicken the strands and fluff them into place, then the brown shade simply adds a touch of colour and warmth.

So yes, there’s no need to stress if you fell victim to over plucking. You too, can have those dreamy bold fluffy brows with a little TLC, castor oil and brow gel.
