If your brows could use a bit of TLC, put down the tweezers and pick up the phone this month.
During May, 100% of the profits from Benefit’s brow wax services in Myer will be donated to three local charities supporting women.
Benefit’s charity partners include Sister2Sister, a charity focused on helping marginalised girls have life-changing experiences, Fitted for Work which seeks to empower women experiencing disadvantage to develop the confidence and skills to secure (and retain) work, and Look Good Feel Better a national program that supports cancer patients to cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.
Since the inception of their global philanthropy program, The Bold Is Beautiful Project, in 2015, Benefit has raised and donated over $16.5 million to local charities supporting women and girls. This year they’ve pledged another $200,000, bringing their total donation to $1 million in five years.
The vision of the project is to affect change and creating a long-lasting, positive change in the lives of women and girls worldwide through local charities providing education and mentorship, economic self-sufficiency and access to wellness.
Aside from booking in for a brow once over, you can do your bit by tinting your brows pink for a hot minute, with their special edition 3D BROWtones in magenta, of which 100% of profits will be going to Bold is Beautiful all year-round.
And although it’s pink, it’s surprisingly wearable, says Benefit’s National Brow Artist, Hannah Mutze.
“Think of it more like a brush-on highlighting gel to give your brows definition and depth with a subtle hint of colour. The gel formula allows for the intensity to be buildable so you can have a sheer wash of colour during the week or a brighter brow come the weekend!”
Well, we’re sold.
