Model Chrissy Teigen has finally revealed the secrets to her youthful and glowy skin in an Instagram post – and her routine is surprisingly simple.
Chrissy Teigen is one of the biggest personas on social media. With 30.5 million Instagram followers, the TV personality, mother, and cookbook author wears a lot of hats – but her original one was that of a model, and there’s no guessing why.
Her covergirl-worthy poreless skin has been the envy of the internet for as long as she’s been around. And yesterday, she finally let us peek behind the curtain in the caption of a brief Instagram video, to find out exactly which products she relies on for that seemingly effortless glow.
And while some of the bougier buys definitely reflect her celeb status, there are a surprising number of affordable picks that make it into her lineup.

“I will admit I am def proud of my skin lately and feeling myself!” Teigen wrote in the caption. While she admitted “I kind of use whatever is closest”, she also credited esthetician Sharni Darden for “forcing” her to use the products that have transformed her skin.
To cleanse, Teigen uses the antioxidant-packed iS Clinical Cleanser, which can be purchased for $72.60 at Skin Store. She also swears by the brand’s Moisturising Complex, saying “the IS clinical cleanser and the lotion is the only thing I use consistently and they’ve always been so good to me”.
Teigen turns to the Control Corrective SPF 30 for protecting her skin from harsh UV rays – and while the celeb-beloved sunscreen isn’t available to ship to Australia, you can find similar oil-free formulations in the $36 Paula’s Choice Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser or La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios Ultra-Light Fluid Facial Sunscreen.
The priciest of Teigen’s routine comes in the form of her two La Mer picks, of which she says “$$, I know I know but I gotta be honest”. Teigen uses the cult favourite Crème de la Mer, a deeply hydrating moisturiser that improves skin’s suppleness and firmness, which can be purchased at La Mer from $125.
She also uses the brand’s The Concentrate, which retails from $285 at La Mer and harnesses kelp to renew cells and calm redness.
On the other end of the price scale, Teigen relies on the drugstore favourite Bioré pore strips to keep blackheads at bay. She says she uses a “steady stream” of the very affordable buy (which you can grab at Chemist Warehouse for $7.69) on her nose and chin.
In an edited amendment to her post, Teigen also added “one of my most important products”: Dr Dennis Gross’s Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel pads, which can be bought from Cult Beauty from about $34. She says the widely loved chemical peel pads are “So important for on and around my nose and chin. You’ll notice a HUGE difference!!”
Teigen says she also has regular facials to keep her skin in check, but other than that, it’s a surprisingly minimal routine for a star – even if the price tag may add up to a hefty $705.
But hey, if splashing out on expensive moisturisers and serums will give me that same glow, I’m all in.
