What’s the first thing you do to wind down before bed?
I have an app on my phone that reminds me to go to bed at 9PM. I read for 30 minutes, it takes me off my screen and really helps wind me down.
And the last thing you do before you go to sleep?
20 minutes of meditation – it is the best thing to do for the deepest sleep.
Talk us through your pre-bed beauty routine…
After I put my daughter to bed at 7PM I have a shower and go through my cleansing routine. I use the Illuminating Oil Cleanser and Exfoliant, then I take my time to apply the Supernatural Triple Vitamin A+ Oil, followed by Skin Reset and I end with our 72 Hour Collagen Boosting Night Crème. All of my products have been amazing for my complexion’s plumpness and hyperpigmentation.
I then sit down with my husband with a herbal tea and have a debrief on our days. It’s a nice pause and time to connect.
Do you take any supplements or sleep-aids?
I don’t take supplements – but I run in the afternoons and this really helps with sleep. So does meditation.
What do you sleep on?
I have a silk pillowcase.
What’s your stance on technology before bed?
I have a turn off policy by 9PM at the very latest. It’s so important for our mental health to unplug, I see our phones as such addictions and we can truly waste so much time mindlessly scrolling. I would prefer to read and expand my mindset – so much healthier, too.
What time do you usually hop into bed?
9pm and asleep by 10PM. I have such a strict routine as I’ve learnt that I need 8 hours a night to function at my best and to be the best version of me.
What do you do if you can’t drift off or have trouble sleeping – do you have a go-to fix?
I get up and meditate in our lounge and then go back to bed. Trust me, it works!
Do you have a preferred or go-to late night snack?
Herbal tea and I love having some cut up fresh fruit.
